"If you are not
part of the solution; then you are part of the
problem."

The primary goal of the BBS Value Tour is to build functional communities. There are certain core elements necessary in a functional community. The BBS Value Tour missions to help develop two of these elements:
1. SENSE OF COMMUNITY - We must feel connected
and responsible for one another even though we may not live in
close proximity to one another.
- THE ARTIST - As the storyteller of our culture, the artist is central to helping create our sense of community. BBS Value Tour rallies around the artist as a tool to connect us to each another, our culture, history, and future.
- ADOPT-AN-ARTIST - Each family member, Black Business Space member, visitor, advertisers, sponsors and potential sponsors will be asked to ADOPT-AN-ARTIST.
- You commit to being a true blue fan of one artist of your choosing! Details will be coming soon
2. AN INDEPENDENT ECONOMIC ENGINE - Each community must have an independent economic engine that functions within the national and global economic engines. The BBS Value Tour uses the Black Business Builders program and is incorporating the 10-10-50 plan to provide a structure in which we can build this engine; a structure that recycles dollars several times within the community while building vertical paradigms.
The strategy begins with our interconnection. Black Business Space Value Tour is an extension of the Black Business Space experience. Black Business Space is a program of the National Black Business Trade Association [NBBTA]. NBBTA believes entrepreneurship and equity participation are the keys to economic empowerment for Black America and has developed the Black Business Builders program as an economic empowerment tool. Based on the relationships and ideology stated above, here is THE STRATEGY:
FOUNDATION - BLACK BUSINESS BUILDERS
FRAMEWORK: 3-10-10-50 & OUR ART; OUR STORY; OUR HISTORY; OUR LEGACY
STEP ONE: BECOME A BLACK BUSINESS BUILDER (A BLACK BUSINESS CLUB AFFILIATE) - This program recycles dollars back into the community whether you are a business owner, entrepreneur, professional, blue collar worker, green collar worker or home maker. The investment is only $14 per month, provides everyone with a myriad of USEFUL benefits while at the same time helping another Black person or business.
STEP TWO: GET THREE MORE BLACK BUSINESS BUILDERS. The BBS Value Tour will help you show others how being a Black Business Builder works to their benefit. With the many benefits, different benefits are important to different people based on their goals, needs, and lifestyle. While you are still only investing $14 a month, by identifying three (3) Black Business Builder partners you will have provided your BBB partner who referred you with an additional income of $20 per month and you will be receiving an additional income of $10 per month.
STEP THREE: INVEST THE $10 YOU ARE NOW RECEIVING IN A COLLECTIVE FINANCIAL VEHICLE. This $10 is part of the Collective Black People Movement and Problem Solvers Unlimited Network's 10-10-50 plan. The $10 will be invested in a Black bank, credit union, or fund as determined by the community. It will be one entity. You are still working from the same $14 a month. This is the power of recycling dollars!
NOTE: Any additional Black Business Builders you partner with from this point on, you receive $10 a month. So, this is your opportunity to create an additional cash flow. You should be using the applications, tools, and benefits of the Black Business Builders Club to help market, strengthen, and drive additional sales to your existing business or art. For those of you who are not business owners, it can still be used for connecting family, event planning, promotions, connecting church, ministry, community organizing, etc!
AS YOU GO THROUGH STEPS 1-3, donate ten (10) hours per month to some form of outreach within our community and spend at least $50 a month with Black businesses. The BBS Value Tour ask that you seek businesses within this family that can support your needs and that you support one featured artist and institution.
Adopt An Artist and/or Institution. THAT'S IT!
We ask that you give the strategy a chance by working it. Give it
90 days and evaluate the value the strategy has provided you as
well as the value you have been to others.
STEPHEN BIKO is the Chair of the Outreach & Strategy Commission. He will be implementing it as well as tweaking and building on it. Should you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact Stephen at stephen.biko@bbsvaluetour.com.
